I recently visited this hibachi restaurant after it was recommended to me by a coworker, and I decided to bring a small group along to experience it together. The restaurant offers a wide variety of options, which is definitely a plus, especially for groups with different tastes. From our visit, the experience was mixed. Starting with the positives, the hibachi station food appeared to be the freshest option available, and some items—like the kushiyaki—were noted as flavorful and enjoyable. The soup was also well-received by members of my group, and our server provided good service throughout the visit. The water was cold and refreshing, which we appreciated. However, there were several concerns that affected the overall experience. Much of the food served from the buffet line was lukewarm rather than hot. The rice, in particular, seemed stale and had an unexpected crunch to it. The orange chicken and fried chicken had an acceptable flavor, but did not taste fresh, and the fried chicken was described by one person in our group as overly hard. The French fries had a good texture but were not hot and carried a taste that suggested previously used oil, possibly from other fried it

just went to Ichiban Sushi & Hibachi Buffet and gotta say — overall it was pretty awesome! 😄 The place has so much food — sushi, hibachi, seafood, Chinese dishes — all in one spot! 🍣🔥 I love that variety, it's comfort food heaven. Sometimes the buffet line looked a little messy though, especially when it got busy, but they were always topping it up 👍. The hibachi grill was super fun, and sushi actually tasted fresh—even though buffets usually freak me out.🍤 My only gripe? The restroom area needs work, stuff like broken soap dispensers and lukewarm water kinda throws off the vibe 🚽. But honestly, the staff was friendly and kept things moving, and prices are great for Charlotte 🍽️. Not perfect, but still a solid spot for a casual hangout with tons of options and decent flavor. Would come back! ✌️

Fantastic food selection! Simple dining experience, good service. 15.99 plus service fee, about $18 for all you can eat. Sushi bar, fried chicken bar, dessert bar, all sorts of yummy buffet food!

Stayed at a nearby hotel who recommended this place. Glad they did! I didn’t know it was very close to the airport. Friendly customer service. The food was pretty good. To be fair I did come in the last hour before closing. So the food on the buffet was not the freshest, but from the items I did choose, it was DELICIOUS! I had fried shrimp with the head on, and black pepper chicken. I will come back during business hours to check them out. Lastly, it was $5.99 a pound for no seafood items, and $6.99 a pound if you got seafood. Total was $20 for great portions. Ambiance is family friendly. Restaurant was VERY CLEAN. If in the area, try them and tell me your thoughts.
